Currently, our department has expanded the scope of research activities by incorporating data science and machine learning technology to conventional clinical research methodology. It is important for our academic physicians, postgraduate students, and researchers to get familiar with the data science technology widely used in the industry. Therefore, the Data Science for Medical Research class is informally organized in our department for new-generation researchers. The class is supported by DataCamp, which is one of the most intuitive learning platforms for data science and analytics. DataCamp’s learn-by-doing methodology that combines short expert videos and hands-on-the-keyboard exercises would prepare our staffs to be experts in data storage, cleaning, visualization, exploration, analysis, and predictive model development through the use of R, Python, SQL, and more.
