In 2001, Dr. Sriburi went on to her Ph.D. study at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Loyola University of Chicago, USA. She worked with Dr. Joseph W. Brewer in the studying of the role of XBP1(s) in lipid biosynthesis and the biogenesis of the endoplasmic reticulum. After received her Ph.D. degree (Microbiology and Immunology) in 2006, Dr. Sriburi came back to work at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University and worked with Dr. Nopporn in the Dengue Lab where they focus on the development of dengue virus candidate vaccine and the basic biology of dengue virus.
