Research interest
My research interest is mainly focused on the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in Gram negative bacteria in three aspects;
- the association of mobile genetic element and resistance genes involved in horizontal transfer among intra-and inter genus of Gram negative bacteria.
- Identification of active compounds in Thai medicinal plants with the antibacterial activity against antibiotic resistant bacteria.
- Transcriptomics and proteomics of bacteria in the response to active compounds in Thai medicinal plants.
Short biography
I received Master degree in Molecular genetics and genetic engineering from Mahidol university, Thailand. Then I received the scholarship from Thai government to study in the USA. and finished the Ph.D in Biochemistry from university of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Field of research
Bacterial genetics, Bioinformatics, Proteomics.
