Research interest

Dr. Kattareeya Kumthip focuses on the molecular epidemiology and characterization of the viruses that cause diarrhea in humans and animals including rotavirus, norovirus, sapovirus, astrovirus, adenovirus, enterovirus, kobuvirus, parechovirus, saffold virus, cosavirus, etc. The emerging and re-emerging of new variants as well as zoonotic potential of these viruses are also the aspects of her interest. In addition, she is also interested in hepatitis viruses, foodborne and waterborne viral pathogens.
