Research interest

”In an aging society, neurodegenerative diseases and cancers have been recognized as the major causes of both morbidities and mortalities worldwide. For neurodegenerative diseases, I have an interest in gut-microbiome-brain axis which a change in gut microbiome or gut dysbiosis together with gut inflammation could lead to a development of proteinopathy within the brain. On the other hand, I also focus on the synthetic biology of chimeric receptors (CR) for NK cell as targeted immunotherapy for refractory hematologic malignancy. To engineer the novel CR-NK cell, I aim to optimize the design of CR by selecting a suitable combination between a precision in tumor antigen recognition and activating cytotoxic signaling”
