Master degree
- Must be in accordance with theannouncement of Chiang MaiUniversity regarding admission to study in each academic year.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.80 and are graduates or are about to earn a bachelor’s degree in health sciences, microbiology, biotechnology, molecular biology or biology.
- Be a Thai national or other nationality who can study in this course.
- Persons with qualifications other than (2) shall be at the discretion of the Graduate Program Executive Committee in Microbiology.
Doctor of Philosophy
- Must be in accordance with the announcement of Chiang Mai University regarding admission to study in each academic year.
- Hold a bachelor’ s degree or equivalent with very good grades. (having a cumulative grade point average throughout the course of 3.50 or higher or equivalent) in health sciences, life sciences or other scientific disciplines. In the case of good grades (with a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.00), may be considered for admission as approved by the Program Executive Committee and the Graduate School.
- Having English proficiency test score that meets the standards set by the graduate school.
- Other qualifications than (1-3) are at the discretion of the Microbiology Curriculum Management Committee.
Double Degree (1.1)
- Must be in accordance with the announcement of Chiang Mai University regarding admission to graduate studies in each academic year and according to the regulations on graduate studies B.E. 2559.
- Hold a master’s degree or equivalentCumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 in Microbiology or Health Sciences, Biology or Molecular Biology from a higher education institution that is accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC).
- Have English language test results valid within 2 years from the date of the entrance examination. minimum scores are based on English language testing institutions as follows: TOEFL-PBT Institute Score 450 / TOEFL-CBT Institute Score 133 / TOEFL-iBT Institute Score 45 / IELTS Institute Score 4.0 / CMU-eTEGs Institute Score 45.
- For those who do not meet the qualifications according to 1-3 will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Consideration will be based on research and academic results, related activities and other achievements at the discretion of the Graduate Program Executive Committee, Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University and Kumamoto University.
Double Degree (1.2)
- Must be in accordance with the announcement of Chiang Mai University regarding admission to graduate studies in each academic year and according to the regulations on graduate studies B.E. 2559.
- Hold a bachelor’ s degree or equivalent in health sciences or biology or molecular biology from a higher education institution that is accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or more. Or in case the student has good grades but does not reach the honors level and has experience in researching and publishing in recognized academic journals, those qualifications will be approved by the Graduate Program ExecutiveCommittee in Microbiology to applyfor admission.
- Have English language test results valid within 2 years from the date of the entrance examination.
