near age reader 40 Or did your parents ever have a problem like this?

  • Blurry eyes when reading at normal intervals You have to extend your hand as far as your arm to be able to read the text.
  • Have a headache Tired of eyes easily when doing near work, such as working on a computer screen, sewing, sewing needles, etc.

If you have any of these symptoms, you may have an “aging eye condition”. (Presbyopia)“Happened. (translation is very Let's rename it presbyopia according to age.)

presbyopia How did it happen?

Need to know the mechanism of focusing (Accommodation) first, which is an eye mechanism that occurs when we gaze at nearby objects. When looking at close objects such as reading a book, there will be a contraction of the muscles that help focus (Ciliary muscle), resulting in the lens of the eye. (which is a convex lens) changes its shape until it looks bloated more curved surface (Includes more light) helps focus the light to fall on the screen (Retina), just so we can see the image clearly.

This focusing mechanism gradually diminishes with age, becoming apparent around the age of 40 due to a decrease in the flexibility of the lens of the eye. making it unable to change its shape to become more bloated and curved as before when looking at objects up close Makes it impossible to focus the light on the screen. But the light will fall to the back of the screen. make the picture unclear

How to fix it?

Easy to recommend by wearing glasses. The corrected lens is a convex lens that helps focus the light (short, concave, long, convex, remember?). It is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist directly.

How to choose glasses?

There are 3 types of recommended glasses.

  1. Single vision glasses Wear it and see it only near, for example, for reading a book only. But when you look far or walk, you have to take it off. This type of glasses must be carried, put on-take off according to the distance you want to see.
  2. Double-layer glasses with joints. Wear and see clearly both near and far. You don't have to wear and take off, but the disadvantage is that you can see the joints, making you look older. (but some people look old)
  3. Glasses that are clear, many distances, no seam. You can see both near, middle and distance. Wear it and you won't look old. because I can't see the trace
