Course Description
Anomalies of the fetal face and neck:
A part of international course of “Practical Fetal Ultrasound”, aimed for fetal sonographers
This course (anomalies of the fetal face and neck): On screening anomaly of the fetal face and neck, axial scan, facial profile and coronal scan should be completely visualized. Nuchal soft tissue or nuchal translucency in the late first trimester should also be evaluated. Confirm that cleft lip / palate be excluded, orbits look normal, and no abnormal mass especially cystic hygroma is seen. Abnormal facial appearance is strongly suggestive of some significant abnormalities, therefore it needs the reassurance of normality.
