Research interest
Dr. Patcharin has wide interests in the human pathogenic fungi especially Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans. Her research focuses on the understanding of fungal pathogenesis and fungal virulence factors both on a molecular and phenotypic level, and the development of novel antifungal strategies including natural product based nanoparticles. She was also involved in demonstrating in vitro cell culture and in vivo model systems for studying fungal infection.
