5th Floor (Green Zone)

The Library’s office area provides seating for reading in both group reading rooms or ‘WE Read’ and ‘WE Work’ spaces. It offers a wide range of general reading materials in both Thai and English. The reading zone in the library’s garden area allows you to read books as if you were truly surrounded by nature. Moreover, there is also a coffee shop that serves various beverages.

6th Floor (Reading Zone)

The library services encompass everything from lending and returning services to the IT Corner. Furthermore, there are services for medical textbooks in both Thai and English languages. There are reading areas available, as well as a co-working space room for your convenience.

8th Floor (Living Library)

The Living Library or relaxation area is designed for resting and unwinding. In this area, we provide both Thai and English-language fiction books. We also offer an ITSC Corner that provides access to the university's internet network. Additionally, we have private study rooms for individual research and a meeting room that can accommodate up to 10 people.

Circulation (Borrow, Return, Renew, Reserve)

Users are welcome to borrow books, journals, and audio-visual materials in accordance with our Circulation regulations. To check out library materials, students should have their CMU ID card with them at the library during course registration and present it at the circulation desk when they're ready to borrow books. The person checking out the book must be the one whose photo appears on the ID. If you're not currently affiliated with CMUL but need to borrow library materials, you can sign up for membership and check out books with a CMU Main Library card. For registration, please inquire at the circulation counter.

Loan periods

  • Books : 7 days
  • Journal: available ONLINE only* (some titles are available in physical copy)
  • Audio and video media: 7 days
Reference Books are for in-library use only.

iPad Loan : We offer iPads for searching Health Sciences databases. These devices come with medical apps and e-magazine services and are only available for in-library use.

Renewals: You can renew items online up to 3 times. However, when renewing for the third time, you MUST do so at the circulation desk.

Fines: Library materials must be returned or renewed on or before the due date to avoid fines. Failure to do so will result in fines. Patrons will not be able to check out additional books until overdue materials are returned. Additionally, fines on overdue materials must be paid before they can be renewed. Fines amount to 5 Bahts per day per item.

Reservations: To reserve a book that has been borrowed by another user, please fill out a reservation form at the Circulation Desk. You will be notified when the book becomes available.

Membership: All CMU staff and students with ID cards will have a borrower's barcode on their cards. Continuing medical students (medical residents) can obtain a borrower's card by providing their photo and completing the membership application form at the circulation counter. Visiting scholars or lecturers for a short period can access library services with an official letter from their Faculty's Department.

InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Service

Our interlibrary loan service caters to the needs of both our library users and requests from libraries across the country. We provide photocopies, PDF files transfers, or reprints from authors.

Who Can Use ILL Service? Academic staff, physicians, and graduate students of the Faculty of Medicine are eligible to request photocopies of journal articles or specific chapters from books.

Reference Service

Reference Service

  The reference service is dedicated to assisting medical staff, health sciences students, and library members with various aspects of library usage. This includes answering questions related to the library's collections, equipment, and services, as well as verifying reference sources for readers and researchers.

  Additionally, the reference service encompasses two specialized services:

  Selective Dissemination of Information Services (SDI): This service helps users stay updated with relevant information by providing customized content based on their specific interests and needs.

  Medical Information Alerting Service: This service keeps users informed about the latest developments and information in the field of health sciences.

  The reference desk is staffed and available on the 6th floor during the library's open hours to assist you with your inquiries and information needs.

We provide training sessions and orientation programs to help users make the most of our library resources. These sessions cover a range of topics, including navigating the library, finding materials in our collection, and conducting online searches for medical databases.

8th Floor IT Room
The IT Room on the 8th floor of the library is equipped with 15 computers, all of which are connected to the CMU Network. These computers are available for student use and are intended for academic purposes.

6th Floor IT Corner
The IT Corner, located on the 6th floor of the library, provides access to 20 terminals specifically for medical staff and instructors. These terminals allow users to search the CMUL online catalog, access MEDLINE, and utilize other databases through the Faculty's LAN (Local Area Network).
