[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, provides a wide range of formal medical courses and training programs leading to degrees<\/span>
\nand professional recognition. In addition, specialized short-course training in various disciplines is also available.<\/span><\/p>\n

DOCTOR OF MEDICINE PROGRAM (MD)<\/b><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The undergraduate Doctor of Medicine program has been conducted by employing the concept of problem-based, student-centered learning with the help of high-technology learning aids. Medical graduates are fully equipped with the 21st century skills necessary for effective regional and global deployment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each year, about 250 new students enter the six-year Doctor of Medicine program at our faculty. A significant proportion of these students have been recruited from prominent high schools in the 17 provinces of the northern region of Thailand through various academic routes on a competitive basis. After graduation, the majority of these doctors return, to provide standard medical services, to their original communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduate medical education leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in various disciplines is also offered.<\/span><\/p>\n

The faculty and its major affiliated medical institution, the Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, are committed to maintaining high-quality postgraduate medical education programs including both residency and clinical fellowship training in various disciplines.<\/span><\/p>\n
