{"id":1207,"date":"2021-02-10T10:08:50","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T03:08:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/w1.med.cmu.ac.th\/foreign\/?page_id=1207"},"modified":"2025-03-07T10:10:18","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T03:10:18","slug":"short-couse-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/w1.med.cmu.ac.th\/foreign\/en\/short-couse-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Clinical Short Course \/ Fellowship Program Training for Medical Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Clinical Short Course \/ Fellowship Program Training for Medical Staff <\/strong> <strong>Basic Information:<\/strong> <strong>Position Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Observership<\/strong>: Observers can observe clinical activities at the Outpatient Department (OPD) wards and operating rooms (OR), with no scrubbing-in permitted.<\/li>\n<li>Observers cannot have any independent clinical activities or academic credit given.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Clinical\/Teaching Activity Hours:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately <strong>20-30 hours per week<\/strong>, based on the mutual agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dress Code:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business attire or uniform<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Tuition Fee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training fees depend on the chosen specialty, specific activities, and agreements (MOU\/MOA) between institutions.<\/li>\n<li>The quoted training fees do not include living expenses or accommodation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Regulations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Observers must follow the rules, regulations, and program schedules assigned by supervisors.<\/li>\n<li>Observers are required to attend all the scheduled training hours.<\/li>\n<li>Observers shall be dismissed from the training program, be declined to issue a certificate or any confirmation documents in case of their inappropriate performance.<\/li>\n<li>Observers must be able to communicate in English fluently. For those who are non-native English speakers, they should have an English proficiency in listening, reading, writing, and speaking at the intermediated level. Some activities may be conducted in Thai, a buddy will provide English summaries for better understanding.<\/li>\n<li>Observers are recommended to arrange their own health evaluations, vaccinations, and health insurance before arriving in Thailand.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>How to Apply:<\/strong> <strong>1.) Upon receiving acceptance:<\/strong> Applicants must provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>All necessary documents required for applying for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Immunization records<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Proof of health insurance covering at least 100,000 USD<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Timeline for Arrangement:<\/strong> <strong> \u00a0 Application submission by Email<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Step 1 &#8211; Application Submission (3-6 months in advance)<\/li>\n<li>Step 2 &#8211; Department revision and approval (3 months in advance) &#8211; Applications are reviewed by the relevant department or section for consideration and approval. &#8211; Once approved, detailed course information, including the tuition fee, will be communicated to the applicant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> \u00a0 Upon receiving acceptance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Step 3 \u2013 Program Confirmation and all necessary documents required for applying for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa, Immunization records,Proof of health insurance (2-3 months in advance)<\/li>\n<li>Step 4 &#8211; Visa application and approval at Thai Embassy\/Consulate in home country (1-2 months in advance)<\/li>\n<li>Step 5 \u2013 Final Confirmation (1-2 weeks before the program starts)<\/li>\n<li>Step 6 &#8211; Start the program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Visa Information:<\/strong> After the Department approval, the applicants are required to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa. This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand<\/p>\n<p>for educational purposes. According to the Immigration policy, the holders of ED Visa are permitted to stay in Thailand for a maximum of 90 days from the date of entry,<\/p>\n<p>and this type of visa cannot be extended the period of stay under the training purpose; extensions are only granted to full-time or exchange students. IRO will facilitate necessary official supporting documents for applicants to submit at the Royal Thai Embassies or Royal Thai Consulates-General in their home\/residence country<\/p>\n<p>or at the designated Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General.
